Job Vacancy: Part-time tailor/dress maker

We are looking for an experienced tailor/dress maker to join our team on part-time for 16 hours, with potential for more hours.

Job description

Salary: Paid weekly at hourly rate of £14 - £18 depending on experience.

Vacancy open for 16 hours part-time work, with potential to increase hours based in our Lower Sunbury branch.

Job purpose and duties:

  • To work under the direction of the operations manager and other key staff at the company

  • Primary duties include providing customers a high quality level of alteration and tailoring services, from small repairs to full fittings.

  • Good problem solving skills for customer coming with unique repairs and alteration problems.

  • Making sure deadlines are met on time.

The location of work will be at our branch in Lower Sunbury at: 67A Thames Street, Sunbury-on-Thames, TW16 5QF

Skills and competencies required:

  • Previous sewing and tailoring experience

  • Attention to detail

  • Able to follow instructions

  • Be able to work under pressure in a busy work environment

  • Must always be punctual

  • Complying with health and safety procedures at all times

  • Be a team player

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience with customer service

  • Experience working in a dry cleaners

  • Full UK driving license
