In these Terms & Conditions, “we” means Thames Laundry and Dry Cleaning and “you” means you as our valuable customer.

Our website is provided for you without any warranties (whether express or implied).

This website, including these legal notices, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law.

1.     SERVICE TERMS AND GENERAL EXCLUSIONS

Check your pockets & bags

We accept no liability for contents inside pockets or drop-off bags. Please check your pockets/bags are empty when you give in your items. This includes but not limited to pens, crayons, make-ups, screws.

Service wash & dry terms

We accept no responsible for checking every item for a service wash and or dry only. Please check all items in your service wash/dry bag are suitable for machine wash and tumble dry.

Unless instructed otherwise, we do all services washes as mixed colours. If you would like your whites and colours separated, please tell us at drop off or collection.

All services washes are done on a medium 40⁰c wash. You can alternatively choose a hot 60⁰c wash or unregulated cold wash.

Care of garments and items

Whilst we take the upmost care for all items, we cannot take any responsibility for but not limited to the finish or loss of buttons, zips, shoulder pads, accessories of items when in inside the cycle of its wet or dry cleaning cycle.

We will advise you if your item has delicate beads or any delicate detailing that may be of risk of changing or damage during its cleaning cycle inside the wet or dry cleaning. We will only then agree to clean at your consent to continue with the cleaning.

We take the utmost care for all our items but we cannot be liable for and not limited to:

(a)   Any items which suffers loss of colour, change in sizing or damage during the cleaning process whereby the manufacturers care and instruction labels have been adhered to

(b)   Any items not showing cleaning instructions

(c)   Any item that has deliberate crinkles or creased effects on the fabric which are removed during our cleaning process

(d)   Any item with faulty adhesives which leave a mark after cleaning.

Multiple offers cannot be used in conjunction at the same time. Only one discount/offer applies at any one time.

Curtains cleaning

We take the utmost care and attention with all items in our remit and we strongly advise that curtains exposed to prolonged periods to the sun causes a risk to the integrity of the curtains and we do not take responsibility for any damage caused to curtains during the process of wet or dry cleaning, whereby correct the cleaning process has been followed but the curtains that have been affected by sun damage.

2.     PAYMENTS

Prices are subject to change and we take diligent care to update prices to our website at the earliest convenience. We accept not obligation for any differences or omissions from our website prices to our pricing on our EPOS system.

We take payments only by cash and all major debit or credit cards.

For credit and business customers we take payments by BACS in addition to the above.

Payments must be made in full before we can release your items back to you.

We reserve the right to discontinue our service to you if orders remain unpaid or uncollected.

 

3.     IN-STORE DROP OFF AND COLLECTION

You will be provided with a ticket with an order number that will relate to all the items you have handed your service.

Each item will be tagged with the till order number on the manufacturers care and instructions label. In absence of this we will tagged in the safest location on the item.

We will do a final number count for items being collected against our ticket bill, but we advise to check your order in the shop as we will not accept liability once you leave.

4.     COLLECTION AND DELIVERY

We will do our upmost best to adhere to your requested collection and delivery times requested but in rare cases, if due to but not limited to traffic and or busy hours that may make your requested time not possible, we will call and advise as soon as possible to update our estimated time arrival or reschedule.

If we are not able to gain entry to your property or response is not made when we arrive, we will attempt to call you and failing this, we will return and rearrange delivery of your items.  

For any failed pick-up or delivery attempts we will include a £5 charge on the re-pickup or re-delivery attempt.

A £20 charge will be incurred if pick-up is failed and no pick-up is re-arranged.

Orders less than £25 will incure £10 delivery charge.

Charges apply for orders for next day delivery at 50% of order total.

We deliver up-to 7 miles from our base in Sunbury-on-Thames and anything outside this area, we will call to confirm the “out-of-area” delivery charge based on your location.

5.     PROMOTIONAL OFFERS

Promotional offer FIRST25 is only valid for new customers wishing to place their first online pick-up and delivery order.

Promotional offer FIRST25 is only valid for one use per household.

Online promotional offers are not available for in-store use unless specified.

6.     OTHER

We reserve the right to amend our Terms and Conditions policy without any notice. We will update copies kept in the shop and our website.

By giving your items to us you accept all our Terms and Conditions of service.

These Terms & Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
